Wednesday 17 July - Burhill (new)
Burhill 2
After the recent spells of inclement weather, it was a delight, after a long absence, to play the Burhill New course on a hot, sunny and dry Summer's day.

26 members and guests were treated to a substantial ploughmans lunch, after which they found the course in good condition with the ball running well on true greens. The day ended with a very tasty evening meal and very good company.

The coveted Presidents Cup was won by Brian Mitchinson with 38 pointson count back from Martin Hopkins and Phil Yapp.

The latter alongside Eric Saunders and Roger Graham won the team prize with 85 points. Runners-up with 82 points were Brian Mitchinson, Bill Boniface and guest Howard Somerville.

The average score of the day of 29 points was the best so far this year.

We look forward to returning to play the OLD course on 17th October.
